SAMWU Ekurhuleni Press Conference on Monday; the Municipality has been served with court papers

SAMWU PRESS STATEMENT
15 July 2010.

Members of the media are invited to the important Press Conference on Monday in Ekurhuleni, to be held as follows;

The Ekurhuleni Municipality has been served with court papers by the Union, for issues listed below.

The Press conference will focus on the following issues:

· Implications of the intervention by the team of six and outsourcing of services in the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (March 2009 – July 2009)

· Wasteful expenditure and Corruption in the Municipality

· Court process by the Union to review tenders in the municipality that did not follow legal processes

· The possible implications should the South High Court grant an order for review of tenders
